Our editorial board seeks scholarship on writing center-related topics including consulting, research, administration, training, among others. Full-length article submissions may take theoretical and/or critical approaches, consider applied practices, or report empirical research of the qualitative or quantitative kind. All full-length article submissions are sent to our national editorial board for blind review.
Praxis also publishes shorter, non-peer-reviewed column essays that examine aspects of the writing center ecosystem. We also publish book reviews. For information about submitting your work to Praxis, email the editors at praxisuwc @ gmail.com.

DEADLINES
We run three review cycles annually:
Deadline for consideration in the fall cycle, (September 1st - December 1st) is August 15.
Deadline for consideration in the spring cycle( February 1st - May 1st) is January 15.
Deadline for consideration in the summer cycle (June 1st - August 1st) is May 15.
PEER REVIEW PROCESS
Praxis seeks writing-center related articles by authors across disciplines. Full-length article submissions accepted by our editors are subsequently sent for peer review. Praxis reviewers, all who have made significant contributions to writing center practice and scholarship, will determine whether a work of scholarship makes a unique contribution to writing center studies and merits a wider audience. All manuscript reviews are blind; both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. Authors can expect review decisions by early November (Fall cycle), mid-March (Spring cycle), and early August (Summer cycle).
*Publication of articles and columns generally occurs within a year of acceptance.
