SCHOLARSHIP SINCE 2003.

For more than 20 years, Praxis: A Writing Center Journal, has served as a forum for scholars and practitioners whose work concerns the university writing center and its ongoing evolution. Published by the University of Texas at Austin, Praxis was founded in 2003; the peer-review process was adopted in 2011. The university produces three online issues a year (Fall, Spring, Summer) and the occasional special edition.

Praxis publishes work that reflects the wide variety of perspectives that exist within the writing center ecosystem. Scholarship that appears in Praxis is written by researchers, consultants, administrators, and others interested in investigating the work and future of writing centers in the U.S. and beyond.
